Adult Development Centers
Adult Development CentersCommunity-based programs that provide supportive services for adults with developmental disabilities who have indicated that they wish to develop skills in the areas of community involvement, self-advocacy, self-care and/or employment training. Many may transition into supported employment or other more independent settings in the community as a result of the training. Participants generally need sustained support and direction in developing the ability to interact with others, to make their needs known, and to respond to instructions.
